Sandro Rodrigues was born in the 8th of June in the city of S. João da Madeira, Portugal. He started to study guitar, officially, at the age of 10 in the Academia de Música de S. João da Madeira, with professor Carlos Moreira. In 2011 he entered de Escola Profissional de Música de Espinho, where he studied with Professor Tiago Emanuel Cassola during three years. In 2014 he traveled to Zaragoza to study in the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón with the masters Pedro Mateo and Àlex Garrobé. He also studied Ancient Plucked Instruments with the theorbist Daniel Zapico.
During his career, Sandro has debuted works from composers like Nuno Peixoto, Bernardo Pérez and Alberto Caracciolo. He has also participated in orchestral projects with the Orquestra de Jazz da EPME, the Sinfonietta del CSMA and the Conjunto Barroco del CSMA.
Sandro Rodrigues has been in masterclasses of master of the guitar, such as Ricardo Gallén, Carlo Marchione, Dejan Ivanovic, Marlon Titre, Marco Smaili, José Antonio Escobar, Michailis Kontaxakis, Rafael Aguirre, Roberto Aussel, and many others.
